The Green pea is most commonly the small spherical seed or the seed-pod of the pod fruit Pisum sativum. Each pod contains several peas. Green Peas are starchy but high in fibre, protein, vitamins, minerals, and lutein. There are many Iso-flavones present in dried peas prevents health conditions like prostate and breast cancer.

 

Recipe Ingredients :

  • 1½ tsp- Oil, 2 chopped Onions, 6 minced Garlic cloves
  • 1 tbs crushed Green Chilli-Ginger, 1 chopped Tomato
  • 1 tsp Garam  Masala and 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 2 tbs  Red Chilli Powder, pinch-Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste,  1 cup green peas
  • 2 tbs Lemon Juice and Sugar, water - 1/2 cup
  • 1/4 cup Coriander -to- garnish

 

Method :

  • Heat the oil into the pan
  • Add chopped onion,minced garlic, tomato, crushed Green chilli ginger and
  • heat it for 3 mins
  • Add red chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder and turmeric
  • Add green peas and mix well
  • Add sugar,   lemon juice and some waters
  • Stir them properly and sprinkle Coriander on it
  • Serve hot
